Okay, I'm a huge fan of classic Mahjong Solitaire, and 'Spartan Mahjong' really delivers! The core gameplay is exactly what you'd expect, but the Spartan theme adds such a cool twist. It feels fresh without messing with the beloved mechanics. The time pressure keeps things exciting, and trying to strategize for those bonus points is genuinely addictive. It's challenging enough to keep me coming back, but never feels unfair. Perfect for a quick brain exercise or a longer session. Highly recommend it if you like puzzle games!
The visuals in Spartan Mahjong are pretty neat! I really like how they've integrated the Spartan theme into the tiles and the backgrounds. It's not just a generic mahjong game; you really feel the ancient Greece vibe. The tiles are clear and easy to distinguish, which is super important for this kind of game. My only minor gripe is that some of the background art can be a little busy on certain levels, making it slightly harder to spot matches quickly. But overall, it's a very aesthetically pleasing game that stands out from other mahjong titles.
I wanted to love this game, especially with the cool Spartan theme, but the controls are just a bit finicky for me. Sometimes tapping on a tile feels a little off, and I have to tap multiple times to get it to register, especially on smaller tiles. It breaks the flow of the game when you're trying to race against the clock. Also, the undo button placement could be better, I keep accidentally hitting it. The core game is fun, but these control issues make it a bit frustrating to play for extended periods. Hopefully, they can iron out these kinks in an update.
